What is HALO?
HALO is a hybrid fractional laser that uses both ablative and nonablative treatment to help you achieve a radiant glow with minimal downtime. The ablative wavelengths remove the top layers of the skin, while the nonablative wavelengths heat the underlying tissues for the best results. Together, the HALO treatment boosts collagen and elastic production, leaving you with a flawless and more youthful complexion.
With this unique treatment, you can address and eliminate uneven skin tone and texture, enlarged pores, and lines and wrinkles on all skin types.
Patient Testimonial
Jawline Filler
I visited Dr. Hassanzadeh to enhance my jawline, and she suggested a bit of filler – it was exactly what I needed. Now, two weeks later, I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the results. The change is subtle yet powerful, giving me that perfectly “snatched” jawline I was hoping for.
Dr. Hassanzadeh is also a total sweetheart! She makes you feel welcome and is incredibly knowledgeable about facial aesthetics. While I’m not quite ready for surgery, I’ve seen her surgical work, and I would trust her 1000% with my face when the time comes. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a change, whether surgical or non-surgical!
What are the Benefits of HALO?
Patients who undergo HALO treatment can look forward to the following benefits:
- Minimal downtime: Because HALO treatment consists of ablative and nonablative lasers, you can expect much less downtime when compared to purely ablative laser treatments such as erbium and CO².
- Customizable treatment: HALO makes it easy for Dr. Hassanzadeh to customize your treatment to meet your needs.
- Boost in confidence: With a new radiant complexion, many patients experience a boost in confidence and self-esteem.
By addressing both surface-level and deeper skin issues, HALO laser treatments provide comprehensive skin rejuvenation with noticeable and long-lasting results.
The HALO Procedure
To start your HALO laser treatment, we’ll begin by cleansing the treatment area and administering a topical anesthetic cream. From there, Dr. Hassanzadeh will use the HALO handpiece to deliver custom ablative and nonablative laser to the treatment area. At most, you will feel a slight tingling sensation.
How long it takes and the intensity of the treatment will depend on the results you’re looking for and the number of areas treated. Most treatment sessions take 30 minutes to 1 hour.
HALO Recovery
After your HALO treatment, your skin will likely be mildly red or swollen and will feel like a sunburn, but those side effects will dissipate within three to four days. Most patients are able to go back to their daily activities immediately, but if the treatment is more invasive, you may need 2-3 days of downtime. You will want to regularly wear sunscreen for at least a month afterward.
As for results, you can expect to see improvements within a week and continue to see positive changes for several months as collagen builds up in the skin. These results can last for years, especially with a quality skincare regimen. Maintenance treatment will be necessary to keep up your results.
Who is a Candidate?
Men and women who are looking to rejuvenate their skin can highly benefit from HALO laser treatment. Ideal candidates should also be in good overall health, have realistic expectations, and be nonsmokers.
Those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have active acne or cold sores, or darker skin types may not be good candidates.
